A Gift for London Southend Airport Travellers

January 8, 2013

Passengers leave London Southend Airport terminal r

The new terminal at London Southend first opened to passengers on 28 February 2012, and in the 12 months well over half a million passengers have enjoyed the ease and convenience of flying to destinations such as Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belfast, Dublin, Faro, Geneva, Ibiza, Jersey, Malaga and Mallorca from their local airport.

London Southend Airport Managing Director Alastair Welch says “We have decided to make this free* parking offer leading up to the first anniversary of the terminal opening as a thanks to the passengers - our growing reputation as an airport of choice for passengers in Essex, London and the South East is all thanks to their support. We also want it to be an incentive for new travellers to come and try the unique airport experience we are offering here at London Southend for the first time.”

The free car parking offer applies to the Long Stay 2 Car Park – which is just a 3-minute walk from the terminal.  All parking must be booked online and in advance at www.southendairport.com where people can also check out the Terms and Conditions of the offer. It runs until 28 February 2013.

Alastair added “Over the past year London Southend Airport passengers have been very pleased to discover that our car parking prices are still amongst the lowest of all the London airports – plus we are the only London airport to offer a free period in our Short Stay Car Park for their convenience.”

This is ahead of what is sure to be another record breaking summer for the airport as easyJet adds additional routes to the London Southend network including Venice, Italy; Berlin, Germany; Krakow, Poland and Newquay in Cornwall.
