An Update on the Leigh Library’s battle to remain open

This appears to have had the impact desired as the council have re-evaluated the closure of the libraries in Leigh and Westcliff. However, the new proposal is that they should be run on a volunteer basis only, which for many was not the exactly the direction they think the library should be heading in. From July, the public can have their say. You can collect a consultation form from Leigh Library. Your input is crucial to ensure a positive outcome for the current professional staff . We are encouraging Leigh residents to pop down to the library and fill in a consultation form to support our beautiful local library.
