Young ballet dancers required for Cliffs Pavilion production of Giselle

English Youth Ballet (EYB) will be holding auditions for the professional production of Giselle at Cliffs Pavilion. This is a great chance for young local dancers to get involved in an incredible production!

The auditions are are available on Thursday 5th March at Tiffany Theatre College, Leigh-on-Sea, offering a total of 100 young (8-18 year old) male and female dancers from across the region the chance to dance alongside international professional dancers.  There will be three performances of the production held from 22nd-23rd May 2020 at the Cliffs Pavilion.

Janet Lewis, Director of the EYB, itself one of the largest ballet companies in the UK, states that: “The EYB audition is an experience in itself. EYB is all about performance experience and this starts at the audition as the dancers are given a regular ballet class on the stage.  Parents and family are encouraged to watch from the audience. We are looking for young dancers of all abilities who can show the audience how much they enjoy their dancing".

Young dancers have described it as “the best thing I have ever done”. 

The audition fee is £15.00, with each audition taking the form of a regular ballet class. Parents are invited to watch.

Auditions will be on Thursday 5th March:

• 4:30-6:15pm (dancers aged 8-11)

• 6:45-8:30pm (dancers aged 12-18)
