FLEUR DE LEIGH

A new member of Leigh Broadway, this new licensed vegan pantry sells vegan cakes, pies, ales, wines and a variety of beers. Known for its fantastic customer service, Fleur de Leigh has really attracted the eyes of many ‘Leighites'. Address - 50 Elm Road, Leigh-on-Sea.

VINO VERO

Winning three awards, Vino Vero is heaven in a wine drinkers eyes. They offer a variety of different priced wines that is suited to everyone. They offer several palate cleansers on their menu that may tickle your fancy. The menu changes frequently so make sure to pop in often to see what they have to offer. TEN GREEN BOTTLES

A friendly, popular upbeat bar that regularly has live music. They also provide lunchtime and evening meals, they are animal friendly and have a very laid-back approach, perfect for a weekend afternoon or for a beer and a catchup. Address - 11 Rectory Grove, Leigh-on-Sea

THE BLACK CAT

The Black Cat is a cocktail bar in the centre of Leigh Broadway. However, as a newcomer it may be a little difficult to find. It can be found in Irma’s towards the back of the restaurant. It is a very unique, dimly lit bar that serves delicious cocktails with an alternative atmosphere. Address - 9 Elm Road, Leigh-on-Sea.

BOATYARD DECK

With an outstanding view of the Estuary, especially on a sunny day, the Boatyard Deck is the perfect place to enjoy Old Leigh’s atmosphere and have an alcoholic beverage. They have a vast menu of wines including red, white, rose, champagne and desert wines, so definitely ask about the different wines and how they taste. Address - 8/13 High Street, Old Leigh.

HENRY BURGERS

We all know their burgers are mouth-watering, but their cocktails are pretty damn good too. With a variety of spirits, liqueurs and fruit juices, Henry Burgers have nailed their cocktail menu. With a buzzing atmosphere and good music, it’s one of the busiest places to be in Leigh Broadway on a Friday evening. Address - 141 Broadway, Leigh-on-Sea.

PETERBOAT

Yes, I'm sure you’ve heard of it. It’s the place to be on the bank holiday weekend. It’s most likely you'll see mostly everyone you know, but it’s a guaranteed good time booze up. With plenty of choices of what to drink, the sea only a few feet away from you, it’s by far one of the best places to spend time with your friends or family on a bank holiday weekend. MOJOS

With their recent refurbishment, it’s time everyone should go and check it out. With several different events nearly every week to suit everyone, and more gins than you can ever name, Mojos is really worth a visit. Address - 194 Leigh Road, Leigh-on-Sea.

WEST ROAD TAP

It may not technically be in Leigh-on-Sea and an exception to the blog title, but Westcliff is hardly far. Describing themselves as a micro pub and bottle shop, they serve beer in its best form. The small, but cozy ‘bottle shop’ is great for small groups looking to try somewhere new. Address - 2 West Road, Westcliff-on-Sea.
