With it’s slick, contemporary yet inviting charm, Bourgee Restaurant & Luxe Lounge has brought charm and sophistication to a corner of Southend badly in need of regeneration.

At leigh-on-sea.com we specifically visited the Luxe Lounge side of this hot, new venue indulging in expertly made cocktails by their in-house specialists Vicky & Elvis! From a ‘Southend Side’ - tailor-made for a refreshed palate (BombaySapphire Gin, fresh basil, fresh mint, shaken with freshly pressed lime juice and a little sugar), to a sweeter, yet equally delightful ‘Womble’ (Bombay Sapphire Gin, fresh lemon juice, fresh strawberries, pink grapefruit & Crème de Fraise), the extensive cocktail listing served up something for everybody’s diverse taste and didn’t disappoint!

The Luxe Lounge area and bar, sits prominently in the middle of the well dressed dining area and the choice is yours of relaxing on their comfy cream lounge area (complete with attentive table service), to taking a seat at the modern and cosmopolitan bar.

Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, cocktails and champagne, Bourgee really is the ultimate drinking and dining experience in Southend and we’ll be visiting again very soon.
