Cocktail of the week - LIFE ON MARS

Get making this fruity concoction & channel your inner Bowie! Primroses are everywhere at the moment, as well as bringing bursts of colour to Spring gardens they also make a stunning garnish, so get yourself to your local florist & buy some!

You'll need:

25ml Gin
25ml Aperol
1/2 a Lemon
Egg White
Angostura Bitters
Grenadine
Sour Apple Sherbet
Primrose Flower
Cocktail Shaker
Ice
Martini Glass or Champagne Saucer

The method behind the madness:

1. Cut half a lemon into two pieces and run one around the rim of your glass. Then roll the glass in a bowl of apple sherbet.
2. Squeeze the lemons into your cocktail shaker & throw them in.
3. Add a shot of gin, a shot of aperol and a shot of eggqhite.
4. Add a dash of Angostura bitters & a splash of grenadine.
5. Shake & strain into your glass & garnish with a primrose flower. The cocktail is sharp & tangy, if you want to take the edge off it, just add a splash of soda!
