Macmillan Coffee Morning at Scott & Stapleton on Friday 30th September
Coffee Morning
Those of you that are lucky enough to know any of us here at Scott & Stapleton will know how much we love cake.
When we aren’t eating it, we are discussing it, deciding who will make the next one or on most Monday’s regretting it and trying to be good until we crack on Tuesday and do it all again.
Finally we have an excuse to eat our own body weights in cake and even better we can do it with a clear conscious as it is all for Charity.
On Friday morning of 30th September we will be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning. Everybody is welcome to join us for tea, coffee and of course cake.
We will ask for a donation to the Macmillan charity that is very close to our hearts here at Scott & Stapleton and then you can eat as much as you like.
I might even make a cake myself. The last time we held one of these events I made a traditional fruit cake which I think we could still be using for a door stop but people still ate it. This time I might make something different (although fruit cake is my favourite). I might even get my daughter to help out with the mixing so there should be a good sprinkling of bogeys as well.
Rest assured though, there will be plenty. The last event we had our large top table at the office was groaning with the amount of cake and biscuits. Not everybody makes cakes, some people choose to buy from the professionals so there will be enough edible cakes for everyone.
Please do come along and join us for a cause that has sadly no doubt touched us all at some point
