February 22, 2016 by Joanna Harrison

The MP for Southend West, Sir David Amess has set up his own e-petition to get C2C to revert to their old timetable much to the delight of commuters'.

The new timetable that was introduced on Sunday 13th December has caused uproar with constant complaints of increased journey times, overcrowding, longer journeys and additional stops in east London cutting down on 'fast train' services.

Sir David has already spoken openly about the controversial timetable in Parliment on more than one occassion and hopes that by setting up his own e-petition, which is set to go live in just a few days, will force a partilmentary debate.

Since the new timetable went live, C2C have made some minor alterations by leasing additional carriages, however these broke down last week leaving passengers once again in despair.

However, C2C are confident at resolving the issue and are actively researching other options in response to the situation.

Sir David Amess' e-petition, will need to reach 100,000 'supports' to enable a parlimentary debate!
