First Bus Essex Fare Increases from Monday 9th September 2024

Following an annual review, revised bus fares will apply to our services across Essex with effect from Monday 9th September 2024.

The prices of most area day, weekly and 4-weekly and longer-term tickets will be increased. Please note that the maximum £2.00 single / £4.00 return fare cap remains in place until at least the end of 2024.

Some single fares under £2.00 and returns under £4.00 will increase. The child single in the Southend Metro, Basildon Shuttle, Chelmsford Inner and Colchester Inner zones will increase to £1.80

Southend Area Increases

Day Adult £5.00 now £5.20

Day Child £3.00 now £3.20

Day Group 1+2 £6.60 now £7.00

Day Group 2+3 £10.00 now £10.50

Week Adult £20.00 now £20.00

Week Child £14.00 now £15.00

4-Week Adult £60.00 now £62.00

4-Week Child £44.00 now £45.00

Monthly DD Adult £60.00 now £62.00
