Herd of Elephants Stomp into Leigh-on-sea

Herd in the City a free family art trail of dazzling elephant sculptures has arrived in Leigh-on-sea just in time for the school summer holidays. Trail maps can be purchased for £1 at Leigh Library or by downloading the Herd in the City app from the App store or Google Play.

Created by Havens Hospices and Wild in Art, large elephant sculptures and mini herds have been placed around our great little town. Each elephant has its own unique design created by wonderful artists.

The Leigh-on-sea elephants are sponsored by local companies in a bid to raise funds for Havens Hospices who provide specialist care and support for people of all ages who are living with incurable conditions, and support their families.

The trail started on the 14th July and will carry on until 4th September. On 23rd and 24th September all the elephants will be coming together at the Saxon Hall in Southend for a farewell party, tickets for the Farewell Weekend are available now at www.herdinthe.city/farewell. On the 26th September after their sunny summer outing they will be auctioned at the Saxon Hall.
