Saint Patrick's Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick so it is also known, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick (c. AD 385–461), the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

Every year, it is widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora around the world, especially in the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, Brazil, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand in all shapes and forms..... and here's a few tips how you can be celebrating it .

1. Bake yourself a Soda Bread - this traditional Irish rustic bread transforms into a dessert the minute you spread jam or sweet marmalade on a slice

2. Make sure you wear something green! If you don't it's considered shameful and you may get pinched!

3. Make yourself a Misty Mint cocktail - fill a glass three-quarters of the way with crushed ice. Pour in the creme de menthe, followed by the rum, and stir until mixed. Garnish with mint and serve.. and drink!

4. Visit one of the local pubs or bars in the little town that we love and grab yourself a Guinness! Don't fancy a full on Guinness? Then why not a try a shot in the form of a 'Baby Guinness'

5. Jump on the train and head to The Official St Patrick's Day Music Trail at Camden Market. For more deets, click here
