Leigh Art Trail 2015
Leigh Art Trail
This week sees the start of this years Leigh Art Trail and we are delighted at Scott & Stapleton that we have been selected to be one of the venues. We will be displaying work by a local artist called Natasha Kamburova who will be showing her unique paintings and pictures here.
It is her first time for the art trail as well as ours and we are all very excited to see how many people come to visit. She tells me that her works are mainly of nudes and can be a bit racy so we could prove one of the more popular venues!
When we were in the process of refurbishing our new offices in the Broadway we knew it was going to be a great place to display art with large open plan spaces and great light, together with the relaxed layout and feel. We try to assist the community in any way we can, so it was natural for us to team up with the Leigh Art Trail.
I believe it is vitally important for companies to support projects such as these. We reap the benefits for Leigh’s arty reputation so when it comes to helping out, we must. So many individuals give up their time for these events and it is only fair that companies do the same.
Leigh’s current popularity was built upon being a town of art and culture. It wasnt just Leigh, but also specifically the Leigh Art Trail was mentioned in The Times when being listed as one of the 30 best places to live in the UK. There are so many events and projects in our town that we truly have something for all types of people from all ages and tastes.
This years event looks like it is going to be the best yet with over 30 artists displaying work as well as other events including live music, spoken word and poetry recitals together with exhibitions at both Belfairs woods and Bell Wharf Beach. There is even a chance to have a go yourself, let your inner artist free with workshops for people to try things out as diverse as designing your own tattoo, creating something in clay to even trying your hand at drumming. There is of course special workshops for the little artists in your life with free children’s workshops at Leigh Road Baptist Church.
Lets all support this years art trail and all the other events our great town has to offer.
