Leigh Businesses supporting The Gold Geese charity this September

Leigh-on-sea local shops and businesses are supporting The Gold Geese Charity this September to promote the awareness of childhood cancer and to raise funds to help those families with practical and emotional support through a very difficult time.

They kicked off their appeal with a convoy of ten gold and yellow cars sporting yellow and gold balloons which toured the streets of Leigh-on-sea.

C2C are a huge supporter of the charity, this year they provided a gold family in need with free travel for 2 months for hospital appointments.

A charity concert in aide of Gold Geese on the 9th September on Strand Wharf in Old Leigh was also a big success with performances from Take Note, Rooskin, The Hoy Shanty Crew, Kate West, Dead Mans Hand and Get Lucky.

With perfect weather Thorpe Hall Golf Club also supported the charity by raising a whopping £42,000 from their Golf Heroes day.
