What's On at Leigh Lights 2016
The Procession:
On Friday, the Leigh Yuletide procession, run by Leigh-on-Sea Council, will be returning to spread the Christmas spirit, and the businesses of Leigh are all getting involved.
The procession, which starts at 6:30pm at the junction of Leigh Road and Kings Road, will travel along Leigh Road and the Broadway, before finishing in Broadway West.
The fairground will also be making another appearance, in the car park located behind the Grand Hotel.
Here’s Leigh-onSea.com’s highlights of the goings on:
From 4pm until 7pm, Scott & Stapleton (42 Broadway) will be opening their Grotto, where Santa Claus himself, along with his helpers the elves, fairies and snowmen, will be there to greet the children. Thanks to Princess Parties and Party with Sid, there will be children’s entertainment and a special appearance by Elsa from Frozen. For the adults, there will be mince pies, mulled wine, and of course, Prosecco, supplied by We’re Fizz HQ. Proceeds will go to Little Havens charity.
Planet Leasing (91-93 Leigh Road), in conjunction with Havens, will have a Smart Car full of balloons, a seasonal prize for the person who can guess how many, and the Stig giving out glow sticks to everyone that enters.
