Local Election results for 2024

Yesterday, residents took to the polls to vote in the local City Council and Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) elections.

Over 600 election staff were involved across the day, with the count for the City Council elections taking place into this morning. The count for Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) takes place this afternoon (3 May) at Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre.

Politically, the council is under no overall control, and political groups will be having discussions over the coming days to attempt to form a majority and an administration.
