Local teacher admits child sex image charges

The A Level teacher was caught, when his landlady went into his room in July believing he had left the lodgings in Westcliff whilst owing rent. In addition she also found disgusting images of people performing acts with dogs and horses. Police seized Gardner's laptop where they also found a number of category A, B and C class images.

Gardner spent a couple of years teaching history, sociology and pyschology at Belfairs Academy after a career in pensions and had only briefly left his lodging's to attend an interview in Yorkshire.

The hearing has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report. Gardner will be setenced at Southend Magistrate's Court on March 14h.
