Summer Staples

Hopefully with Winter on its final breath it’s now time to get your Summer wardrobe into life. The staples for any sartorial minded man have always been based around the timeless classics. Here at Mark James we believe in keeping things simple and Spring/Summer 13 is no exception. Here’s a detailed insight into some of our favourites.

John Smedley Adrian: the short sleeved, sea island cotton Polo shirt. Being a classic we have gone for a wide range of colours. If you wear one with the items suggested below I would suggest the cream.

Orlebar Brown Norfolk Chino: these are a Summer must. I very rarely where denim in the Summer, it feels too heavy. Chino’s tend to smarten things up. They are more casual and look continental. They are much more comfortable and look much smarter too.

Magnanni Tassel Loafer: These are the finishing touch. Too many men let themselves down when it comes to footwear. Brown suede or leather always work for me in the summer months, please no socks though! The loafers in store are butter soft leather with detailed tassels, perfect for adding a touch of sophistication for the refined weekend look.

All these items, and many more classics, are now available at Mark | James of Leigh. 7 Clements Arcade, The Broadway
