New Plans for Leigh Lights

As we all know due to Covid 19 restrictions this year the Leigh Lights festival was cancelled. Enjoyed by the Leigh residents every year especially children we were so glad to hear that leigh-on-sea town Council are proposing to hold a festive lighting display in Leigh Library Gardens.

Quotes are presently being obtained for the lighting and security. It is proposed to use volunteers on the two main gates to ensure a one-way system is adhered to along with social distancing. The gardens will be locked at 6pm weekdays, 7pm weekends and opened again at 7.30 am.

Although there has been no official confirmation as yet we believe that Create 98 and the Friends of Leigh Library Gardens may be adding that extra sparkle to the event.
