We, at Original Sports, strive to ensure that all of our customers have an enjoyable shopping experience when visiting our store.

With the increase in internet shopping in recent years, we are very much aware that the choice available to all is vast, and highly accessible from the comfort of your own home.

It goes without saying that all customers, past, present and new, are vitally important to us. We want to always ensure that you go away with not just a positive view of us, but one where you feel you’ve actually received expert advice.

We invest heavily in time and money, not just in our shop and the products that we supply, but also, in the training of our staff to ensure they have the utmost knowledge in everything from a running top to a top of the range racket.

As a family owned and run business, we do consider ourselves to be unique and hope that you will too. Above our doors in Progress Road it says Racket Sports, Running and Rugby and funnily enough, that’s exactly what we do, coupled with fitness and wellbeing clothing and accessories.

What a lot of people don’t actually know about us though, is although we are small and family run, our actual space, expertise and what we can offer is hugely extensive!

In our 2000sqft showroom (probably the largest in Essex) we have an on-site (yes you heard us) racket hitting zone where you can test over 250 rackets on display, also rackets you can take away and ‘try before you buy’ plus a complete re-stringing and re-gripping service too! In our running department, we offer free gait analysis with no appointment required; Ben, Dan and Damon are fully trained to offer you the complete service on all aspects of running footwear from beginner to expert.

And very recently we opened, a bursting at the seams Rugby Room. With everything stocked from studs to protection to boots to clothing you really can see, feel and experience what you really need before you buy.. all with our expert advice of course!

It goes without saying that it is impossible to stock absolutely everything and with that in mind, we offer a full ordering service and free local delivery in our VW van, which, by the way, we are very fond of!!!
