Paedophile from Rochford jailed for at least 18 years

Paedophile Dean Harris from Rochford has been jailed for at least 18 years after he filmed himself drugging and raping a young child. 

Harris was arrested after a woman, who he shared the video with on an adult chat site, reported him to police. 

Further to his arrest, Harris, 44 of Alexandra Road, Rochford, was found to own a catalogue of material featuring young girls and boys. 

Along with admitting to rape of a girl aged under 13, Basildon Crown Court also heard that Harris had also admitted to a number of other offences which came to light when he not only shared the video, but confinded in a work on an adult chat site. 

Harris was jailed for eighteen years and will spend a further eight on licence upon release.
