Paedophile was on bail for rape

It has emerged that a paedophile who assualted a nine year old back in November 2014 in Westcliff, was actually on police bail for raping a teenager in Kent.

After abducting and attempting to rape a child, Steven Partridge, 24, was sentenced to eight years behind bars and a three year licence in March 2015. Last week, an extra additional six years was added to his sentence after being found guilty of rape. 

Partridge admitted the Southend offence but denied raping the teenager in Kent and was convicted following a trial. 

Martin Terry, Public Protection Councillor for Southend is currently looking into the investigation to establish how Partridge was able to commit such an offence whilst under investigation.
