Piano power at the Plaza

Star pianist Mark Bebbington is set to wow the audience at Southend’s Plaza Centre on Friday 19th February.

His thrilling concert from 8pm at the Centre at 600 Southchurch Road, SS1 2PT, includes music by Cesar Franck, Beethoven (Appassionata Sonata), John Ireland and Chopin.

Mark, who has many CDs to his name, appears widely across Britain and overseas.

He has been recognised as a champion of British music, and frequently performs with City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra.

Executive Councillor for Enterprise, Tourism and Economic Development, Councillor Mary Betson said: “These concerts help put Southend in the forefront as a cultural destination in the region.

“They offer a terrific opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy concerts locally given by world class performers at very affordable prices.”
