Retailing giant Toys 'R' us possible plan to close various stores

Retailing giant Toys 'R' Us have put forward plans to close a number of stores throughout the UK which will put 800 jobs at risk. 

The business, which locally has stores in Basildon and Lakeside, have instigated a Company Voluntary Arrangement which bosses say will then allow them to make changes in a bid to secure fresh growth. 

It has been confirmed that there will be no disruption over the Christmas and New Year period and any store closures, thought to be up to 26 in the UK, will not take place until next Spring.
