SEEArT EVENT SHOWCASES YOUNG SOUTH EAST ESSEX ARTISTS

March 20, 2025

On Wednesday 12th March, pupils and their families from primary and secondary schools across South East Essex, along with teachers, governors and trustees attended the first SEEArt event.

This event was an incredible display of artists from all 9 schools across the South East Essex Academy Trust (SSEAT). The array of art at the exhibition included painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, printing, sketching and anime.

The event took place at The Shrimpers Bar at Southend United Football Club, giving the young artists and their families a chance to visit this unique venue and celebrate their artwork. Here, they were able to see their own work on display, as well as the work of all the other pupils. Rebecca Geoghegan, Director of Education at SEEAT said:

SEEArt is a fantastic opportunity for pupils from across our 9 schools to share their art and to enjoy each other's art. This year SUFC kindly provided us with a space within the ground and we transformed this into an exhibition space. Each school were allocated an exhibition space, and they chose a range of art including sculptures and canvases to share with visitors.

At SEEAT, we are passionate about giving our pupils opportunities beyond the curriculum and SEEArT is one of 6 pupil events we have across the year. Parents from our schools were invited to attend and are already asking when the next one is!

Artwork was displayed from: Cornelius Vermuyden, Hadleigh Junior School, Heycroft Primary School, Holt Farm Junior School, Prince Avenue Academy & Nursery, Rochford Primary School & Nursery, The Deanes, The Westborough School and Westcliff High School for Girls.
