The management team of The Endeavour look forward to another successful year after the £100,000 restoration of the Leigh cockle boat . The boat was part of the evacuation of British troops from Dunkirk in 1940. The boat took part in the Mayor's Thames Festival at St Katherine's Docks during two weekends of September 2013 where the boat was visited by superstar, Rod Stewart who was at the festival. BBC Springwatch presenter Martin Hugh-Games visited the Endeavour stand at the opening of the new Belfairs Woodland Centre, who took great interest in the boat and its history. Other visitors included members of the Metropolitan Police Force who spent a day on the boat.

Members of the Endevour are always willing and free to recount the story of the Endeavour to groups and schools or those that wish to become members of the Endeavour Trust should contact Peter Dolby on 01702 473781
