The Estuary - Lunch Review
With its recently extended bar area and extensive menu, its no wonder The Estuary of Leigh is always busy and buzzing day and night!
And a Sunday, really is no exception; If you’re looking for an effortless atmosphere, good service and a wide selection of food for all the family, then it really is the place to go.
Reservations can be made for the main restaurant, or, a number of bar tables and stools are also available for a more casual meet up, though don’t be deterred, the full menu is still on offer throughout as is a simple bowl of delicious curly fries and a glass of wine.
When it comes to eating in this established, popular restaurant based in the heart of Leigh Broadway we advise you go armed with two things; a decisive head on your shoulders and an appetite! The menu is broad and diverse offering anything from what may seem like a simple sandwich (think doorstep bread, ciabatta, baguette, deep filling and salad) through too their very own 'Estuary Fish Pie'; a mixture of locally sourced seafood topped with creamy cheesy mash.
And, once you have selected your meal, there are more decisions to be made; The Estuary offers you a number of options when it comes to 'sides' to accompany your main meal.... you really wont go hungry!
A sticky, succulent rack of ribs, comes complete with a choice in chips (fat or curly), spicy rice OR jacket potato AND then a choice of salad or a corn on the cob! An incredible meal all for just £15.95.
The home made Lasagne, (which again came with chips and salad) is generously loaded with meat and packed full of vegetables; just perfect for those of us trying to sneak in some of our five a day!
Prices starts from as little as a couple of pounds for a bowl of chips and a fresh, healthy childrens menu is available all at just £5.95.
So, if you're going to eat anywhere this week and haven't yet been to The Estuary, then we suggest you you do.
