Village Green was a HUGE Success!

There was a superb array of events ranging from live music from the likes of Skinny Lister, White Devils Cause, DB Cohen, James Yorkston, the hotly tipped Youth Club, Southend's finest Sam Duckworth, Leigh's favourite Damned Dead Circus ring master Phillious Williams and many more, not least one of the final performances from the legend that is Wilko Johnson. There was plenty more including comedy, cabaret, arts, crafts, street performers, spoken entertainment . . . All in all yet another reason for us to be proud of our little town that is Leigh-On-Sea. Well done to all the staff and volunteers at the arts charity Metal Culture for organising such a fantastic event that really puts Leigh-On-Sea on the festival map. To keep Village Green 'free' next year Metal are asking for a small donation from festival goers. Just £3 will ensure we 'keep it free' in 2014.
