A local pupil with an interest in road signs has seen his creativity come to life with the installation of two ‘slow down’ signs near St Christopher’s School.

This annual race takes place around the Island of Foulness. For many years Foulness was controlled by the military, and used as a proving ground for munitions. The ever popular Leigh Art Trail returns to sunny Leigh-on-sea next week with more events, artists and venues than ever before. The Art Trail showcases the work of contemporary artists, designers and local school children from across our very creative town. The trail kicks off with a free event at 7.30pm on Thursday 4th July with Gaudeamus choir and some of the trail artists performing at St Clement's Church and closes on Sunday 14th July.

The speed limit on Prittlewell Chase is set to be reduced from 30 miles per hour to 20 miles per hour from 9.30am on Monday 17th June until 3pm on June 24. The temporary limit will be in place from its junction with Cleveland Drive to Highfield Gardens.
